Merlin’s Magic Wand
4th January 2018
Merlin’s Magic Wand and SEA LIFE Helsinki have teamed up with Mannerheim Child Welfare Association to create a unique and inspirational space for the children and their families.
Mannerheim Child Welfare Association is a foundation for the Rehabilitation of Children and Young People. Their aim is to support the well-being of children and families in vulnerable growth environments. They work in the families everyday surroundings with holistic rehabilitation as the goal. The Foundation’s work concentrates on children and young people with chronic illnesses, injuries or psychosocial and developmental disorders.
The objective was to rejuvenate the existing space into something fun, immersive and interactive. This is the area where the families come together to spend time and play. Creating something more fit for purpose, with the all-important Merlin MAGIC transforming the bland into the extraordinary.
Using some impactful vibrant colours and characters you can see how the room has been brought to life. It is now a clean, safe and fun-packed adventure zone.
Main Contact Katariina Pärnä, head of the organization, Mannerheim Child Welfare Association said:
“It was a truly magical moment when I had the chance to open the doors to the new space and let the children in with their families. The happiness could be seen in their eyes. We wouldn’t have a chance to complete a project like this on our own so we are extremely happy and grateful for it.”
Mikko Riistama, GM, SEA LIFE Helsinki shared his view:
“It has been a great journey to the point where we were able to open the new play area for the families. Through the project, I have felt the great commitment to driving the best result in SEA LIFE team, Merlin's Magic Wand team, our suppliers and especially in Paimio rehabilitation center people. I hope that our Merlin's Magic Space will delight many families visiting the area in the future.”
A BIG thank you to everyone who has been involved in this project from SEA LIFE Helsinki and their team including the business support received from VHB Concept Oy, Creani partners Oy (graphic design), FunSense (motoristic equipment) and Tress / Oy Piresma Ab (motoristic equipment).
Alone we can do a little, together we have achieved a lot.
