Merlin’s Magic Wand Update: COVID-19

Merlin’s Magic Wand

Merlin’s Magic Wand
4th June 2020

We hope you and your loved ones are safe and well and we thank you for your understanding during
this time.

In line with current Government guidance Merlin Entertainments expect to reopen their attractions
in the UK on 4 th July, please see the below update in relation to Magical Days Out.

If you have a 2020 application or tickets valid in 2020:

We recognise that some of you with successful 2020 applications have only had a confirmation and
have not received your tickets due to attraction closures. We are also aware that others have
received attraction tickets they have not been able to use. A lot has changed due to COVID-19 and,
as Merlin UK attractions plan for reopening, we wanted to make you aware of the options available
to you.

We will be in touch in the coming weeks with more detailed information, as an overview this is what
you can expect:

Should you still wish to visit in 2020 there are some changes you need to be aware of:

1. There will be enhanced health and safety measures in place.

The attractions are working hard to comply with government guidelines, and we have everything in
place for you to have a safe and enjoyable visit. This will mean some experiences are different to
usual. Find out more here: https://youtu.be/PgkMoUmcebo and please visit the relevant attraction
website for full details.

2. There will be new instructions on how to arrange your visit date.

All guests will be required to pre-book their visits including Magic Wand ticket holders and you will
not simply be able to arrive at the attraction to gain entry. This change is because our attractions
need to manage how many people visit each day due to social distancing measures, ensuring
everyone has a safe and enjoyable visit.

This means that there will be different instructions for how you use your Magic Wand tickets. We
are still working out the details to ensure this is as straightforward as possible and more information
on this will be provided to you in due course via email.

3. There may be some additional date restrictions and terms and conditions will still apply.

We understand that you may no longer wish to visit during 2020.

We are confident that Merlin attractions are making health and safety of guests and staff the
number one priority, however we recognise many Merlin’s Magic Wand visitors may be shielding or
need to take extra care. We understand if you no longer wish to visit this year and we will be
offering you the option to extend the validity of your visit to the end of 2021 or cancel your
application. If you do choose to cancel you will be able to reapply in the future.

We will be in touch soon with more detailed information. Please be aware that we are currently
working with a significantly reduced team and therefore ask that you please wait to hear from us for
more information, as we will not be able to respond to a high volume of queries.
We are not currently accepting new applications and will provide an update on this as soon as we
are able to do so.

Thank you for your ongoing support and we hope to give you a memorable magical experience in the
future.

With all best wishes

The Merlin’s Magic Wand team
