Enhanced Magical Days Out

An enhanced Magical Day Out gives children and families experiencing serious illness, life-limiting conditions, or extreme hardship a fully personalised experience at one of Merlin’s attractions. For upwards of £500, we work closely with attractions and families to create a tailored day that includes VIP experiences, attraction merchandise, food and drink, and even an overnight stay. These enhanced days go beyond a standard Magical Day Out, offering an unforgettable escape from hospital visits and everyday challenges, creating lasting memories, and bringing moments of joy and wonder to families when they need it most.

Jayden's Day

Fourteen-year-old Jayden and his family were treated to a festive Enhanced Magical Day Out at Chessington World of Adventures Resort, in partnership with Richard House Hospice. Tailored around Jaden’s rare condition, along with his complex care needs, the experience gave the family a much-needed escape from hospital appointments and everyday challenges.

They enjoyed VIP ride passes, two-day park access, food and drinks, goodie bags, a Christmas-themed overnight stay, a surprise visit from Santa’s elves, and even feeding Chessington’s resident reindeers. For Jayden, who is non-verbal and sight-impaired, the accessible and supportive environment allowed him to enjoy the lights, sounds, and moments of independence, while the family could relax, laugh, and create lasting memories together.

Hermione's Day

Nine-year-old Hermione and her family were treated to an Enhanced Magical Day Out at LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, designed around her love of LEGO® and tailored to her unique needs as a child living with autism and BPAN, a rare progressive neurological disorder.

Joined by her brother Declan and parents Caryn and Rory, the day began with a private VIP LEGO® play session where they built their very own LEGO wizard to take home. With VIP wristbands in hand, they explored the park, skipping lines and enjoying rides and attractions at their own pace.

Their visit included park entry, meals and drinks, an overnight stay at the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel, and an Easter surprise bundle. The experience gave the family precious time together, filled with laughter, discovery, and magical moments they will cherish forever.
