This room was made up of mis-matched toys, broken toys, and toys that never worked. It was also very drab and had not been updated in over 13 years. This room is/was used on a daily basis as a respite for parents, clients, and siblings of clients. It was an eye sore and a disappointment.
This is a happy place now! Parents can go in there and sit while their children can play with the toys. It’s cheerful and you can’t help but smile when you walk in. When new groups or clients come in, we are proud to bring them in the room and show off our space! Our children in wheelchairs can go in there with enough open space to maneuver around and play alongside his or her peers. This is very important to our center!
