Unlocking Ocean Wonders with Fundación Hogar Abierto at SEA LIFE Benalmádena

At Merlin's Magic Wand, we are dedicated to unlocking the magic of Merlin through play for children facing adversity, creating moments of joy, inspiring play, and making lifelong memories.
Recently, we were delighted to welcome children and families supported by our charity partner, Fundación Hogar Abierto, to SEA LIFE Benalmádena for a magical day of discovery and exploration.
Fundación Hogar Abierto works with children and families facing challenging circumstances across Spain, helping provide support, opportunities and brighter futures. As part of the organisation's summer activities through the CaixaProinfancia programme, a group of children and their families were invited to experience an unforgettable day beneath the waves at SEA LIFE Benalmádena.
Throughout the visit, the children explored incredible underwater worlds, came face-to-face with fascinating marine creatures, and spent quality time together creating special memories with their peers and families.
"It was a very special experience for them, where they were able to enjoy, learn, and share a different kind of day. Thank you for your warmth, your collaboration, and for making it possible for the children to enjoy this experience."
They explained that opportunities like this are incredibly valuable for the families they support, providing access to meaningful leisure experiences and enriching activities. In fact, among all the activities offered during the summer programme, many of the children identified their visit to SEA LIFE Benalmádena as one of their most memorable experiences.
The children and families also wanted to express their gratitude for the opportunity and the warm welcome they received throughout the day, sharing how much they had enjoyed the experience.
