Merlin’s Magic Wand Reimagines Magical New Therapy Rooms
at Orlando Health -Howard Phillips Center for Children & Families

In a unique blend of creativity, compassion and collaboration, Merlin’s Magic Wand has partnered with The Howard Phillips Center for Children & Families to remodel three therapy rooms and create Merlin’s Magic Spaces at the Orlando facility with whimsical décor inspired by LEGOLAND Florida, The Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds Orlando and SEA LIFE Orlando Aq...uarium

Attraction & Entertainment Solutions, Inc., a Jacksonville, Fla.-based creative services vendor, collaborated on the project and helped create playful, colorful spaces that evoke the creativity and magic found at Merlin attractions around the world.

"We are so thankful for the most generous support of Merlin's Magic Wand and the entire Merlin team for creating such wonderful spaces for abused children to heal at The Howard Phillips Center for Children & Families. These rooms have been dramatically transformed into magical, inviting spaces to the delight of the children and families we serve. Our therapists have been using these rooms for about three weeks now and everyone just loves them!" commmented Marie Martinez, Operations Manager at The Howard Phillips Center for Children & Families.

The uniquely designed rooms will be used for therapy and other services offered by The Howard Phillips Center for Children & Families, part of Orlando's Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children which provides dignity and healing for children, families and individuals who face overwhelming challenges like child abuse, sexual trauma, developmental disabilities, and lack of access to medical care.

The child-friendly décor includes a miniature train and car inspired by attractions at LEGOLAND Florida Resort, giant clamshell and jellyfish-themed seats inspired by SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium. A glamorous “VIP”-style lounge inspired by The Orlando Eye and Madame Tussauds Orlando features wax figure molds of soccer superstar David Beckham’s feet and hand molds of pop stars Ed Sheeran and Katy Perry and Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas.

The themed rooms at The Howard Phillips Center for Children & Families represent the second Merlin’s Magic Spaces project in the Central Florida area. Four Merlin’s Magic Spaces projects have been completed in the United States to date, with more planned.
