In honor of Autism Awareness Month, we rolled out the red carpet for the De Nocker family at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort—giving them a Magical Day Out packed with fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories!

Nine-year-old Hermione, who lives with autism and BPAN, was joined by her awesome brother Declan (who has ADHD), and their loving parents, Caryn and Rory. From start to finish, their day was bursting with magic—and built just for them.

The adventure kicked off with a private VIP session led by LEGOLAND’s superstar Host, Declan (yes, another Declan!), where the family got creative in an exclusive LEGO playroom. They built their very own LEGO wizard to celebrate Merlin’s Magic Wand—a magical little memento to take home and treasure!

Then it was straight into the action! With VIP wristbands in hand, the family zoomed through the park, skipping lines and soaking up every thrilling ride and awesome attraction. From dragons to driving schools, they had free rein to explore to their hearts' content—and didn’t miss a moment of the fun.

Their all-expenses-paid trip included park entry, delicious meals, refreshing drinks, and an overnight stay at the spellbinding LEGOLAND Castle Hotel. Waiting for them in their room? An Easter surprise bundle bursting with goodies! That evening, they dined like royalty at one of the resort’s restaurants before settling in for a cozy night.

But the magic didn’t stop there—they were welcomed back for a second day of non-stop adventure! Whether it was re-riding favorites or discovering new thrills, day two gave them even more chances to make joyful memories together.
This incredible experience was part of Merlin’s Magic Wand’s Dream Days - an exclusive program that creates fully personalized Magical Days Out for children living with serious illness, disability, or adversity. From picking the park and planning the activities to choosing where to eat, sleep, and play—it’s all about making the child’s dream day a reality.
Thanks to the amazing team at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, the De Nocker family got the star treatment—and a well-deserved dose of magic.
