Shanghai Changfeng Ocean World Hosts Children’s Hospital Patients for Ray Bay Farewell

Shanghai Ocean World recently bid farewell to their much-loved Ray Bay exhibit, home to hundreds of sharks and rays and a place where young explorers discovered the magic of the ocean. To mark the closure, the aquarium opened its doors to over 100 local families, including more than 25 groups of young patients from the Shanghai Children’s Hospital, for a day filled with activities, experiences, and treats.

For many of the children, Ray Bay had been a place of wonder and comfort during difficult times. To celebrate International Day of Charity on September 5th, they gathered one last time to capture those memories in colourful artwork and even took part in a special ray-feeding activity - an experience that brought smiles, laughter, and wide-eyed awe.

Experiences like these allow us to connect with local communities, charities, and families who may be visiting for the first time. Beyond the joy of play, they give children the chance to step away from hospital appointments, dive into the wonders of the ocean, and connect with other children in a way that creates memories to treasure long after the day is over.

上海海洋世界近日向深受喜爱的鳐鱼湾展区告别。这里曾是数百条鲨鱼和鳐鱼的家园，也是年轻探索者们发现海洋奇妙世界的地方。为纪念展区的闭幕，水族馆特别邀请了100多个当地家庭以及来自上海儿童医院的25多个患儿团体，共同度过了一天充满活动、体验和欢乐的时光。

对于许多孩子来说，鳐鱼湾在困难时期曾是他们心中的奇妙与安慰之地。为庆祝9月5日的国际慈善日，孩子们最后一次聚在这里，用五彩斑斓的画作记录下美好回忆，并参与了一场特别的鳐鱼投喂活动——这一体验带来了笑声、惊叹与满满的喜悦。
