Merlin's Magic Spaces
Merlin’s Magic Spaces takes the magic of Merlin to children who are not able to visit our attractions in person. We create highly-themed, interactive spaces in places where children spend a lot of time, like hospitals, community centers, treatment rooms, and special needs schools. Magic Spaces are a collaboration between our attractions, Merlin’s Magic Wand, and a local non-profit organization that serves children who need magic the most. Just Launched! The Newburgh Armory Unity Center
On February 24th, we launched a LEGO Education Magic Space at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center based in Newburgh, New York.
The Newburgh Armory Unity Center houses educational classes for children every Saturday, ranging from culinary classes, robotics, sewing, math, sports, and reading. They previously had a “LEGO Room” where they were teaching STEAM classes with LEGO, and we worked with the team at LEGOLAND New York to enhance this space into a fully designed and furnished classroom. Including LEGO Education sets and curriculum's, new TVs, desks, chairs, storage, and of course, bricks! More than 25,000 LEGO bricks went into this incredible project!
